About US
Boarding
Amenities for horses boarding in the main barn include spacious stalls with seasonally appropriate turnout individually or in small groups. Outdoor board includes large pastures with run-in stalls. All board includes blanketing and fly spray as appropriate, quality feed twice per day and free choice hay. Our spacious tack room can accommodate saddles and bridles for all of the horses.
Arenas
Our state of the art, all weather outdoor arena is 150' x 250' with premium footing and an irrigation system for the best riding conditions. A full course of jumps is changed regularly to keep the horses and riders progressing.
Our 100' x 220' lighted covered arena allows you to keep up your training regardless of the weather. The WeCover design minimizes noise in the rain and allows light to come through.
Lessons & Training
Our trainers are ready to assist riders of any level with a training program that will help you accomplish your riding goals.
Our head trainer Beverly Burnette has nearly 40 years of horsemanship experience, was the 1996 NCHJA Horseman of the Year, and has been prominently featured in Practical Horseman magazine.
Katie Atkinson works as our professional rider and show manager to keep the horses in top shape. Having ridden professionally most of her life, she is able to ride all horses from the most green to seasoned athletes to the best of their abilities.
Bev and Katie's wealth of experience and training makes them extremely qualified to help others become better riders and develop closer relationships with their horses.
Management
Leann Jocius grew up riding horses and has become a competitive adult amateur. She has a passion for horse care, management and ensuring that all boarders needs are met with the highest level of professionalism and attention to detail. Leann spends most days at the barn, riding and managing the daily operations. When she is not at the barn, she works as a nurse at Duke's Pediatric Cardiac ICU.
